Fenix HL32R-T Rechargeable Headlamp – Black

Rechargeable running headlamp Fenix HL32R-T is characterized by low weight and unique design with two reflectors. The main reflector creates a well-focused light beam with a power of 800 lumens a with a range of up to 132 meters. Second reflector with power 200 lumens has a very wide and smooth light trail with afterglow 30 meters, in addition, it has a warmer light shade (neutral white). The advantage of this light shade is a more natural and contrasting color rendering not only in nature. The control of both LEDs is independent of each other (however, the cones cannot be combined). One Li-ion battery ARB-LP1900 is used for power supply with a capacity of 1900 mAh, which is included in the package and is charged via a modern USB-C connector directly in the headlamp. The battery can be removed and in an emergency replace with three regular AAA batteries (However, these cannot be charged in the headlamp).

The headlamp body is made of lightweight magnesium alloy and its construction is fully dustproof and waterproof according to the standard IP66 and also Shockproof against a fall from a height of 2 meters. Like other Fenix trail headlamp models, the HL32R-T is equipped with a wide strap with a new Sport Fit System with a rotating wheel for easy adjustment of the strap length. You can quickly and comfortably tighten the headlamp on your head with one hand. The strap is perforated and supplemented with reflective elements that ensure good passive visibility when running on the road. Thanks to its lighter weight and construction, the headlamp is especially interesting for trail running. In addition, it is also suitable for other sports activities (hiking, climbing, camping, cross-country skiing, fishing...). It is guaranteed to serve you well in every situation!

All headlamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operating time, waterproofness, glow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Parameters of the Fenix HL32R-T rechargeable headlamp

• The light source in the high beam is a white Luminus SST20 LED, the source in the wide beam is a Redlights LED with a neutral light shade, both with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

• The headlamp comes with a rechargeable Li-ion battery ARB-LP1900 with a capacity of 1900 mAh.
• It can also be powered by 3 AAA batteries. Both disposable alkaline and rechargeable NiMH batteries can be used (they cannot be charged in the headlamp).
• Digital power control, battery charge status indication (only works when using the included battery).

Using the Fenix HL32R-T headlamp

The long-range spotlight is switched on by holding down the right button (approx. 0.5s) and always starts in the last used mode. The wide spotlight is switched on by holding down the left button (0.5s) and always starts in the lowest mode. The light functions are switched by briefly pressing the corresponding button. Both spotlights cannot be switched on at the same time. The headlamp is switched off by holding down any button (approx. 0.5s). 

Battery charge status indication – after a short press of any button (the headlamp must be off), the LED battery charge status indicator between the buttons is activated. Four lit LEDs mean that the battery is charged to 80-100%, three lit LEDs mean 60-80%, two LEDs mean 40-60%, one indicates 20-40% and one flashing means that the battery is charged to less than 20%.

The control buttons can be locked, to prevent spontaneous switching on, e.g. when transporting in luggage – in the off state, press one or both buttons and hold them for at least 3 seconds, then the headlamp will flash, indicating locking. To unlock, it is necessary to hold both buttons again for three seconds.

Overheating protection – If the headlamp temperature exceeds 65°C, it will automatically start reducing the power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilizes. Once the temperature drops below 65°C, it will be possible to switch to higher power modes again.

Charging – Open the USB-C connector cover and connect the included charging cable, connect the other end of the cable to a computer, power bank or USB adapter for the mains or car (not included in the package). During charging, the status LEDs show the charging progress. After charging is complete, all four are lit. Charging a completely discharged battery takes about 3 hours. During charging, the headlamp can only be used in low power mode.

Using the rotary wheel to adjust the length of the headband – To tighten the strap, push the wheel in and turn it clockwise. To loosen the strap, pull the wheel out and loosen the strap.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
• Use only the original Li-ion ARB-LP1900 battery, If you use disposable AAA batteries, do not try to charge them in the headlamp.
• If the headlamp is flickering, not switching to higher power modes, or not lighting up, it could be for one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is discharged - charge it or replace it.
  • The contacts inside the headlamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
