Fenix HL18R-T V2.0 Rechargeable Headlamp – White

Compact rechargeable headlamp Fenix HL18R-T V2.0 is characterized by a practical design with two reflectors with a luminous flux of up to 800 lumens (ANSI) and range of up to 125 meters. The reflectors create well-focused light beams that shine both far and near at the same time. The main reflector shines with a cool white light of approximately 6500K (so-called daylight white) and the secondary one shines with a warm white light with a shade of approximately 3000K (the reflectors cannot be switched on at the same time). Warm light penetrates fog, rain and snowfall better, so it is especially useful in bad weather conditions. The main reflector offers four lighting modes and a maximum luminous flux of up to 800 lumens, the second reflector offers maximum performance 500 lumens and here too there are four lighting modes available. The headlamp also has red light, red SOS flashing and whistle for emergency situations integrated on the strap. Power is provided by a replaceable Li-ion battery with a capacity of 1900 mAh, which is charged via USB-C connector directly in the headlamp. The battery can be removed and used in an emergency. replace with three AAA batteries (these cannot be charged in the headlamp).

Like other Fenix trail headlamps, the HL18R-T V2.0 is equipped with a strap with Sport Fit System with a wheel for easy length adjustment. You can quickly and comfortably tighten the headlamp on your head with one hand. The strap is also perforated and equipped with reflective elements that ensure good passive visibility. Thanks to its lighter weight and construction, the headlamp is especially suitable for trail running, cycling and skiing. It will also be useful for other sports activities (hiking, climbing, camping, fishing...). It is guaranteed to illuminate you perfectly in every situation!

All headlamp parameters (luminous flux, battery operating time, waterproofness, glow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Fenix HL18R-T V2.0 headlamp parameters

• It uses a powerful white Luminus SST-25 LED with a cool light shade, a Luminus SST-20 LED with a warm light shade and CRI 80, plus two additional red Everlight 2835 LEDs, all with a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

Use

Power on/off and mode switching – the right high beam headlight with daytime white light is switched on by holding down the right button (approx. 0.5s), the left headlight with warm white light is switched on by holding down the left button (0.5s). The headlights cannot be switched on at the same time, but they can be easily switched between by pressing the button of the opposite headlight. The switched-off headlight is switched to red light by pressing any button twice quickly. The light modes are switched by briefly pressing the button of the illuminated headlight. The light is switched off again by holding down the corresponding button for 0.5s.

Locking and unlocking – Lock: Slide the lock switch down according to the mark, the headlamp will flash 4 times in low warm white light mode to indicate locking. If the headlamp has been turned on, it will automatically turn off when locked. Unlock: Slide the lock switch up according to the mark, the lamp will flash 4 times in low warm white light mode to indicate unlocking.

Memory for the last set power mode – the headlamp has a memory and turns on in the last used power mode of the respective reflector.

Replacing batteries – open the rear battery cover and insert the battery(ies) according to the polarity markings. Replace the rear cover.

Charging – Flip off the dust cap and plug the USB-C charging cable into the charging port of the headlamp. When charging is complete, replace the dust cap. The typical charging time is 3 hours with a 5V/1A USB power supply when the headlamp is completely discharged. During charging, the headlamp can only be used in low mode of any reflector. Four indicators light up and flash in sequence during the charging process. Four continuously lit indicators indicate that charging is complete.

Battery charge status indication – After briefly pressing any button (the headlamp must be off), the LED battery charge status indicator between the buttons is activated. Four lit LEDs mean that the battery is charged to 80-100%, three lit LEDs mean 60-80%, two LEDs mean 40-60%, one LED means 20-40% and one flashing LED means that the battery is charged to less than 20%. The indication only works with the original battery.

Intelligent overheating protection – When using the headlamp at high power settings for a long time, a large amount of heat accumulates. When the headlamp reaches a temperature of 55 °C or higher, it automatically reduces the output by a few lumens to reduce the temperature. When the temperature drops below 55 °C, the output gradually decreases again.

Low battery warning – If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. When the lowest power is reached, the battery charge indicator will start flashing to remind you to recharge or replace the battery in time. Only works with the original battery.

Head strap – The strap is assembled at the factory. To tighten the strap, turn the wheel counterclockwise. To loosen the strap, turn the wheel clockwise. Turning the wheel again after the strap has been loosened to the maximum will start tightening the strap again, thus reversing the direction of loosening and tightening.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
• Fenix recommends using the original Fenix ARB-LP1900 battery of excellent quality.
• Remove the battery from the headlamp if it is not going to be used for a long time or if the battery is dead. Disposable batteries can leak and damage the headlamp.
• When storing or transporting the headlamp, lock it or remove the battery to prevent accidental activation.
• Never use different discharged AAA batteries or batteries with different capacities.
• Always carefully check that you are inserting the batteries into the headlamp with the correct polarity.
• If the headlamp is flickering, not switching to higher power modes, or not lighting up, it could be for one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is almost empty - charge it.
