Fenix LD12R Rechargeable LED Flashlight

Flashlight Fenix LD12R offers a luminous flux of up to 600 lumens and afterglow 186 meters in the main reflector. It is powered by a Li-ion battery type 14500 with 800mAh capacity, which is charged directly in the lamp via USB-C connector hidden under the screw head of the lamp. The charging connector is therefore perfectly protected against water and dirt. Alternatively, one disposable AA alkaline or NiMH battery can be used for power (with a maximum output limited to 150 lumens).

The main reflector is complemented by a secondary one side light with an output of up to 100 lumens and a wide light cone for lighting at short distances (e.g. for reading, working, etc.). The lamp is also equipped with a solid clip with an integrated magnet, so it can be easily hooked to a pocket or belt, or attached to an iron surface and have your hands free while lighting. In economy mode with an output of 1 lumen, it will also offer a very long battery life of up to 110 hours of lighting on a single charge.

Fenix LD12R is a universal handheld flashlight suitable for everyday use, at home, at the cottage or on hikes. Thanks to the magnetic clip and side light, it also excels as a work light.

All parameters of the luminaire (luminous flux, battery operating time, waterproofness, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Using the Fenix LD12R LED flashlight

Remove the insulating cap from the battery before first use.

For turning on or off Press the end button of the lamp fully. To switch between the main and side reflectors when the light is on, loosen the head of the lamp until it is off (about a quarter turn), then tighten it again. This will switch between the main and side reflectors. You can change the power modes when the light is on by pressing the button in the end.

The lamp has a memory for the power modes of the main spotlight. If you turn it off with the button and turn it on again after more than 1 second, it will turn on in the last set mode.

Charging – Loosen the head of the flashlight 3 to 4 turns to expose the charging port and plug the USB-C charging cable into the flashlight’s charging port. When charging is complete, tighten the head again. The typical charging time is approximately 2 hours when the flashlight is completely discharged. The flashlight cannot be used while charging. The indicator next to the charging connector lights red while charging, and lights green when charged. If you use a disposable alkaline or NiMH battery, do not attempt to charge it in the flashlight!

Battery charge status indication – next to the charging connector there is an indicator LED indicating the battery charge (it is necessary to unscrew the lamp head by 3-4 turns). After pressing the button, the indication lights up for 3 seconds. If the indicator diode is green, the battery is charged to more than 85%. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it is red, it is charged to 25-50%. Red flashing means that less than 25% battery capacity remains. This function is active only when using 14500 Li-ion batteries.

Intelligent overheating protection – when using the lamp at the highest power mode for a long time, a large amount of heat will accumulate. In this case, the lamp will automatically reduce the power to lower the temperature.

Low battery warning – if the battery voltage drops below the set level, the flashlight will reduce the brightness to a lower level until it drops to the lowest mode. After reaching the lowest power, it will flash three times every 5 minutes to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. This function is only active when using a 14500 type Li-ion battery.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
• Remove the alkaline battery from the flashlight if it will not be used for a long time or if the battery is already discharged. This will prevent the risk of leakage and subsequent damage to the flashlight.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after a long period of use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. Following these rules will ensure that the lamp is properly protected against water.
• If the light is flashing, not switching to higher power modes, or not turning on, it could be for one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is discharged - charge or replace it.
  • The contacts inside the lamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
  • The head or back of the lamp is loose - tighten them.
