Fenix E28R V2.0 Rechargeable Flashlight

Use

From the factory, there may be a battery inside the lamp insulating cap. Remove it from the battery before first use.

On turning on or off Hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds. The light will always turn on in the last selected mode except for the highest mode and strobe. You can change the power modes at any time during operation. to switch by pressing the side button. The strobe can be activated by holding the button for 1.2 seconds.

The control button can be locked, To prevent accidental switching on, e.g. when transporting in luggage – press the control button twice quickly (within 0.5 seconds). To unlock, press the button twice quickly again. Unintentional switching on can also be prevented by loosening the lamp body.

Warning light The 1 lumen light around the switch button can be turned on by pressing the button three times quickly when the light is off. Pressing the button again switches between four functions – red light -> green light -> red pulsing -> green pulsing.

Overheating protection: If the temperature exceeds 60°C, the power will be automatically reduced. As soon as the temperature drops below 60°C, the highest power modes can be used again. Charging: Open the dust cap and plug the USB-C charging cable into the charging port of the flashlight. After charging is complete, seal the dust cap again. The typical charging time is 3 hours with a 5V/2A USB power supply for a fully discharged flashlight. The flashlight can be used in 5 and 50 lumen modes while charging. The indicator LED in the button lights up red while charging. It lights up green when fully charged.

Battery charge status indication: After turning on, or after briefly pressing the button when the light is off, the LED indicator in the button will be activated for 3 seconds. If the indicator diode is green, the battery is charged to more than 85 %. Green flashing means 50-85% capacity. If it is red, it is charged to 25-50 %. Red flashing means that less than 25 % battery capacity remains. Note: This function is only active when using 18650 type batteries.

Low battery warning:  If the voltage drops below the set level, the flashlight will reduce the brightness to a lower level until it reaches 5 lumens. When the lowest power is reached, the LED indicator in the button will start flashing red to remind you to recharge or replace the battery. This function is only active when using 18650 batteries.

Warning

• Do not disassemble the sealed parts in the lamp head yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• If using disposable CR123A batteries, do not attempt to charge them in the flashlight.
• If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after a long period of use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent erosion of the rubber. Following these rules will ensure that the lamp is properly protected against water.
• If the light is flashing, not switching to higher modes, or not turning on, it could be for one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is almost empty - replace it or charge the battery.
  • The contacts inside the lamp are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
  • The fitting is loose - add lubricant to the O-rings and tighten.
