Fenix HM23 V2.0 headlamp

Compact LED headlamp Fenix HM23 V2.0 offers a luminous flux of up to 300 lumens (ANSI) and afterglow 88 meters. It uses one AA battery for power, with which it can last up to 100 hours in the lowest mode (more than 4 days). The light source is a top-notch white LED Luminus SST-20 and a pair of red LEDs. The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is also fully waterproof according to IP68 standard to the depth 2 meters underwater. The practicality of the headlamp is increased by the possibility of removing the light from the head mount and using it as a small pocket flashlight. In addition, the headlamp is equipped with a removable steel clip, so you can easily clip it to your pocket, belt or any strap. The lamp end is magnetic., so it can be easily attached to anything iron. The headlamp offers a total of three power modes in white light mode and electronics with a function prolonging endurance, in 300 and 50 lumen modes gradually reduces power to achieve longer lighting time (see the endurance graph in individual modes). The red light can be set to steady or flashing mode (both 5 lumens).

Very decent parameters, low weight only 86 grams (including alkaline battery) and a favorable price make the HM23 V2.0 suitable for a wide range of sports, hobbies, work and everyday activities. It is suitable for evening runs on roads, camping, hiking, fishing and hunting. It will also serve you as an emergency car light for unplanned situations and, thanks to its high durability, it is also suitable as a work headlamp for demanding conditions.

All parameters of the luminaire (luminous flux, battery operating time, waterproofness, afterglow and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with the ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use

Unscrew the battery tube cap. Insert the battery with the positive pole facing the headlamp and the negative pole facing the cap.

Headlamp off turns on to the last used mode white light by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
Headlamp off turns on to the last used mode red light by pressing the button twice quickly.
Headlamp on turns off by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.

If the headlamp is on, it is possible to cycle through the lights by briefly pressing the button. switch modes power in the order of 3 - 50 - 300 lumens (when switched on to white light) or red 5 lumens - red flashing (when switched on to red light). The lamp has a memory and always turns on in the last set mode (applies to both white and red light).

Low battery warning – If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the headlamp will automatically switch to a lower mode until it reaches the lowest power mode. Once the lowest power is reached, the headlamp will flash 3 times every 5 minutes to remind you to replace the battery.

Locking the headlamp – When the headlamp is off, press and hold the side switch for 3 seconds, the headlamp will flash red four times to indicate the locked state. It will be unlocked by holding the button again for 3 seconds. Unintentional switching on of the headlamp can also be prevented by loosening the battery cap about a quarter turn.

Warning

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, this will void the warranty.
• Remove the battery from the flashlight if it is not going to be used for a long time or if it is discharged. Otherwise, especially with disposable batteries, it may leak and damage the flashlight.
• If the headlamp is flashing, not switching to higher modes, or not turning on, it could be for one of the following reasons:
  • The battery is almost dead - replace it.
  • The battery tube cap is loose, tighten it.
  • The electrical contacts are dirty - clean them with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
